My Logo is a Red Dragon. This dragon is highly symbolic to me, and has been a symbol of hope for over a thousand years.

My dragon is the Welsh Red Dragon also called "y Ddraig Goch" (lit. "The Red Dragon"), the protector of the Welsh people and guardian of the ancient lands of Cymru (the welsh word for the land of wales). Legend has it that Merlin, the greatest magician in history, saw in a vision a red dragon fighting a white dragon. These two had been fighting for a very long time however Merlin saw that the red dragon overcame and slew the white dragon. Merlin claimed this vision to symbolize that the welsh people would overcome their oppressors; the English.

Thus begins the welsh infatuation with the Red Dragon. Merlin's vision would apparently come to pass in 1485 when Henry VII won the Battle of Bosworth Fields and became King of England and Wales. He even flew the Red Dragon on his banners during the battle as it was the symbol of northern Wales at the time and his father was from there.

Ever since that time the Welsh Red Dragon has been a symbol of protection for the people of Wales,
